Back in 2014, I was thinking of a name to put at the back of my class t-shirt without it sounding too obnoxious. That's how I came up with NUBASY, a short for my full name - Nurul Batrisyia. While it's supposedly pronounced as nu-ba-sh, my friends started calling me nubasi instead.

Basi in Malay language means stale, old and no longer fresh. Hence, the birth of Cerita Basy (Stale Stories). A word play on how the things I write are fresh and important when they're being written, but once they're published they become"old".
